About Langham Glass

Established in 1979 by master glassmaker Paul Miller, Langham Glass is one of the oldest and most acclaimed glass making businesses in the UK. Located just a 25 minute drive from our luxury North Norfolk holiday cottages in Fakenham, it is a great place to visit for a day trip out. Originally set up in the small village of Langham, the business had to move premises due to its popularity. The new larger site has also meant they can offer more to visitors including a gift shop, restaurant and glass making experiences.

What can you see and do at Langham Glass

If you like to get close to the action then the visitors centre is definitely for you! Walking around the centre you can watch the team of master glassmakers creating beautiful products using heritage techniques. There is also the option to get involved and create your own glass pieces with courses and demonstrations held regularly. The Langham glass blowing experience is particularly popular, with the chance to blow a paper-thin glass bubble under the watchful eye of the team. There are a wide range of courses that you can get involved in including half day and full day, where you can create paperweights, tumblers, bowls or vases. The items that you make during these courses are yours to keep, after they have undergone the vigorous cooling process. If you are not staying with us long enough to wait for the cooling period, don’t worry as they also can deliver you finished pieces to your home address.

Food and Drink

The onsite Café Nelson is open seven days a week and offers a wide selection of hot sandwiches and homemade specials. You will also be able to find a good cup of tea and hand baked cakes which are also available for takeaway.
