About Amazona Zoo

Situated on the North Norfolk coast in Cromer, Amazona Zoo is home to over 200 birds and animals from South America. Set in 15 acres their residents include jaguar, monkeys, puma, otters, snakes and caiman as well as an aquarium.  An easy walk from the town centre, the Brazilian inspired zoo has a wide selection of animals and attractions to entertain the family for a fun and educational day out.

The zoo takes part in frequent conservation work, using its knowledge about the animals it is home to, to benefit wider communities. Its support of animal charities and conservation projects is at the very core of the zoo and the work it undertakes, supporting research and projects that benefit the habitats and ecosystems of the South American species.

What to see and do at Amazona Zoo

One of the main attractions at Amazona zoo is their resident jaguar and the various other animals the zoo is home to, but that’s not the only thing to do. The education yurt and Amizone educational area is full of information, facts and interactive games about the animals and their habitats. There is also the opportunity for your little ones to run wild in the two different play areas. Jungle Tumbles is the indoor play area suitable for those under 12, with slides, ropes, bridges, tunnels and more interactive toys. Indoors you will also find lots of comfortable seating for you to take a break whilst your little ones run around and explore. There is also the outdoor park, Rainforest Springs which is an exciting adventure play park with two large jumping pillows and a nearby picnic area.

On your way out you will find a well-stocked gift shop where you can purchase fair trade and local products as souvenirs for your day. Proceeds from these sales helps to fund conservation projects around the world.

There is also the opportunity to see the animals during feeding time, you will be able to find out the next feeding time on the board as you enter the park.
