North Norfolk is home to a wide selection of family attractions, a very popular local attraction, perfect for the dinosaur fan in your family is ROARR! Located just under a 30-minute drive from our luxury North Norfolk holiday cottages, it’s a great place to enjoy time together and explore one of the best-loved attractions in the area.

Explore the outdoors together, find the dinosaurs located around the park, uncover bones, slide down the front of a giant dinosaur or escape the T-Rex at Predator High Ropes, there is plenty to do for everyone to enjoy a fun-filled day out.

About ROARR!

Set in 85 acres of natural woodland, discover over 25 dinosaur-themed attractions suitable for children up to the age of 15. There is something for everyone including a soft play, water park, outdoor climbing frame, small animal petting and the all-important dinosaur trail. There are also many different photo opportunities throughout the park to capture the experience and excitement.

Join Dippy and his friends throughout the park and create memories together, it’s definitely worth finding time in your holiday itinerary to explore at the UK’s best all-inclusive dinosaur-themed adventure park. After winning Norfolk & Suffolk’s Best Large Visitor Attraction in 2018, its popularity has only grown further and is a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike, we highly recommend booking tickets in advance.

What to see and do at ROARR!

Upon entering the park you will immediately be greeted by large dinosaurs and exciting music. Younger children will be handed their own map of the park which contains activities to complete throughout the day. The main activity is to collect stamps that you will find at the various attractions through the park, if you manage to collect all of the stamps you can hand it in before you leave for a dinosaur medal.

In the park there are over 25 attractions all included in your entry fee. Some of the most popular include Dippy’s Raceways, a small circuit mini-motorised vehicle track, Valley of the Dinosaurs, the 11 animatronic dinosaurs scattered throughout the woodland and the Predator High Ropes which is East Anglia’s largest rope course and the world’s first parallel sky rails.

There is also something suitable for the smaller adventurers with a secret animal garden, X-Tinction sand pit and Dippy’s Splash Zone, though for the latter you may want to bring your swimwear and a towel!

Depending on the time of year you visit they also hold seasonal events including, Dippy’s Halloween Days, Dippy’s Christmas Celebration and even Easter egg hunts.

What to do on wet days at ROARR!

If the weather is looking a little cloudy, don’t let this put you off. For wet days there are still plenty of attractions to enjoy including Dippy’s Theatre which holds multiple shows and movies throughout the day. There is also the Dinomite Indoor play area onsite which has huge slides, ball pits and rope bridges, there is also a designated play area here for under 5’s to use.

It is worth noting that in adverse weather conditions, some of the attractions do close, however, this is always clearly stated at the park entrance and the What’s on section on the website.

Navigating the park

As there is so much to do inside the park, it can be a little difficult to find your way around everything on your visit. The ROARR! App is a great addition to help you make the most of your visit as it allows you to purchase tickets, order food, look at show times and set reminders so you don’t miss a thing, as well as offering exclusive discounts.

Food and drink

The park caters for a large range of dietary requirements, suiting all your little carnivores or herbivores. There are many different types of food available including Nautilus fish and chips, Dippy’s Pizza and fries and various café menu items. There are also plenty of picnic tables and areas to enjoy your own food, should you wish to take your lunch with you. The Garden Terrace Café, located just a short drive from the Kelling Estate holiday cottages offers a packed and picnic lunch option if you would like to pick something up before you head out to explore.


Tickets are required to gain entry and must be purchased online with a time slot selected for your arrival. Children under 90cm are free of charge and there are frequent offers on ticket prices, so it’s always worth checking before you visit.

ROARR! Is a great day out for the whole family as you can spend time together in the great outdoors whilst learning the history of these family favourite animals. There is plenty to do to keep you occupied for a whole day and to have many fun-filled adventures.
