As a region of animal lovers, there is a wide selection of places to stop for a bite to eat together, below you'll find a few of our favourite pubs and restaurants, both located on the Norfolk coast and inland, that we highly recommend for those visiting the area.

The Dun Cow, Salthouse

With unbeatable views across the saltmarshes and the North Norfolk coast, the Dun Cow is a must for high quality, local food and a dog friendly environment. The large garden and wood burner offers both an area for your dog to get some exercise and a spot to curl up by the fire whilst you enjoy your meal.


The Feathers, Holt

Located on the high street of Holt, this gastro pub is a great pub to visit if you are staying in one of our holiday cottages. Our cottages our just a five minute drive from Holt town centre, or a nice walk if you prefer. The Feathers is a dog friendly pub serving a wide selection of flavoursome food throughout the day, including traditional pub classics, old school, coastal favourites and seasonal dishes inspired by local produce. A perfect choice for a lovely evening meal.


The Buckinghamshire Arms, Blickling

Enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, The Buckinghamshire Arms is located just off the Blickling Estate, one of the regions National Trust and Stately homes (read more here about the National trust properies to visit in North Norfolk). The pub is more commonly known as the Bucks Arms and welcomes dogs in the garden, bar and part of restaurant all year round. The pub is tastefully decorated within with a nod to its history as a 17th century coaching inn to the Blickling Estate.

After exploring the grounds and the neighbouring town of Aylsham, enjoy a freshly cooked meal within relaxing surroundings. The pub also hosts seasonal events throughout the year relating to those which are held within the Estate. If you are hoping to visit the Bucks after one of these events, we would highly recommend booking in advance.



The Golden Fleece, Wells-next-the-sea

Located on the beautiful Quayside of Wells-next-the-sea, The Golden Fleece is the perfect place to stop and enjoy not only the stunning surroundings but also experience some of the freshest sea food and seasonal dishes in North Norfolk. As the pub welcomes dog on leads its a great location to stop and refuel after walking around Wells beach or the nearby Holkham Hall.  Food is served frequently throughout the week during lunch, evening meals and during the weekend.




The White Horse, Blakeney

Cosy and full of character, the White Horse is a dog friendly pub located close to the Blakeney Quay. Complete with a wide and varied menu of seafood, pub classics and unusual specials, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy.
