Via train: From Liverpool Street to Norwich, approximate journey time between 1.45 and 2 hours. Connection to Sheringham & Cromer. Alternatively, Kings Cross to Downham Market, approximately 1hr 20 mins, 45 minute drive to Holt or Kings Cross to Kings Lynn 1hr 30 mins, 45 minute drive to Holt.
By Air: Options include Stansted Airport close to the M11 and there is also the regional airport, Norwich, with regular services to Manchester and Amsterdam as well as charter flights. Also within reach are the airports at Luton and East Midlands, and Humberside International. Small airstrips for fixed winged aircraft at Weybourne and Northrepps International. Helicopter landings can be arranged up to 26 times per annum.
By Car from the South: Take the M11 to JCT9 then follow the A11 then take the A14. Rejoin the A11. At the Mildenhall roundabout take A1065 signed Brandon/ Swaffham. Remain on this road through Swaffham to Fakenham. On reaching Fakenham, remain on the by-pass, following signs for Cromer (A148).
By Car from the North: Head for Kings Lynn then Fakenham on the A148. From Fakenham follow signs to Cromer (A148). On reaching Holt: Turn left into the town centre (if you reach the roundabout you have gone too far). Follow the road through Holt, you will pass a war-memorial on the right, continue past a BP petrol station on the left. Take the next road on the left, Kelling Road. Continue on this road for about 1½ miles, then take the left fork in the road signed to Kelling. Go through the trees and then take the next left signed The Lowes and Cley. Continue down this road for 1/2 mile and you will come to The Lowes on your left hand side
. First entrance in by the sign for Plover (house straight ahead of you when you turn in) and 2nd entrance for Tern Place – follow the drive through and branch left where it divides and through the double set of 5 bar gates.
