Why Choose Norfolk?

Freedom to relax

North Norfolk is an increasingly fashionable holiday destination, offering peaceful countryside, a coastline that boasts some superb stretches of sandy beach, such as those at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham, and a pleasing mix of festivals and cultural events, many held at grand stately venues.

Some of the finest stately homes in England are within easy reach of Kelling, including Holkham, Blickling, and Houghton Halls, and Her Majesty the Queen's Norfolk home at Sandringham is a short drive away, as are other places of historic interest such as Castle Acre and Castle Rising.

For the gourmet, there are numerous notable restaurants both in Holt and further afield, Yetmans, Morston Hall and Rococo to name but a few. For the chef at home, many stalls and shops selling fresh seafood are scattered liberally along the coast, and high-class butchers stock wide varieties of local game in season.

Sporting opportunities are numerous. Golf is available at Cromer and Sheringham, sailing at Blakeney and Brancaster, and the area is particularly noted for bird watching, the RSPB having some renowned reserves in the region.
